Paul Wall is back, and on one of my favorite kind of tracks...what I call the "unexpected-WTF-collaboration"...I mean Paul Wall w/ Raekwon I get...the two toured Africa as part of that MTV blood diamonds special a few years back....I get Paul Wall and Yelawolf....that's not a stretch....but throw Jay Elec in there and you've got that WTF? factor (we saw this yesterday too, when Gucci & Talib Kweli's collaboration dropped)...and guess what, we love it!....(Did we mention is was nice to see Paul Wall back too)....Next up? How about Immortal Technique & O.J. Da Juiceman?....Mos Def & Soulja Boy?....Dead Prez & Waka Flocka?....These are more interesting collabos than your standard "Let's get Luda-Busta-or Jadakiss-on-this-record-for-the-800th-time" type of collabos we usually see....However, we should note that sometimes reaching for a collabo can set you up for wackness...Case and point...Anybody remember when Three 6 Mafia, Snoop Dogg, and Ol' Dirty Bastard (God Rest His Soul) thought the cool thing to do was get on a track with Insane Clown Posse?....Not a good look.
